In order to be open to the “Poyraz” (strong north-east wind) wind of the Black Sea coasts of Istanbul and to use this potential efficiently, a “Wind Farm” Project has been developed with renewable energy source Wind Tribunes for Istanbul, building underwater storage areas by using bottom of the sea area.

With the Poyraz Wind Farm Project, Istanbul’s urban transformation debris will be piled into the sea floor creating underwater islands / farms in the Black Sea, which is rich in wind climate, and building Turkey’s first, World’s largest offshore wind farm is planned to be established.

At the end of the project, 12,960 GWh / year energy production is expected.
